Spain Sportive proudly presents the Valero Rivera handball tournaments
Spain Sportive in collaboration with the Club Handbol Esport Lloret is proud to present the international handball tournaments Valero Rivera. It’s an honor to have the support of one the best handball trainers in the world, Valero Rivera, for the organization of our events. We are sure we will enjoy nice competitive days with the participating teams, moments full of fun and unforgettable experiences for players and supporters.
After a successful season we want to thanks all the participating teams visiting us from Germany, Sweden, Norway, Denmark, Czech Republik, France, United Kingdom and different parts of Spain. As always thank you as well to all the Catalan teams that participate year after year in our tournaments giving us their appreciated collaboration. A special thank you to the FC Barcelona goalkeeper Daniel Saric who offered us an amazing prize giving ceremony.

Personal letter from Valero Rivera
Dear handball friends,
It’s a pleasure for me to offer you this group of handball tournaments. I’m proud to give them my name as a sign of quality and for its help to handball development in Spain.
The organization of the sportive side of the tournament will be run by Club Handbol Esport Lloret and Spain Sportive, a great team of professionals specialized in sport events organization. Otherwise, they are handball fanatics like me , that will give us the choice to enjoy unforgettable days together.
We have chosen Lloret de Mar as the main place of our tournaments for its large handball tradition, for its outstanding facilities and for its unbeatable leisure and touristic offer that will help all the participants to enjoy days full of handball, new friends and a lot of fun.

Valero Rivera's biography
Playing handball in FC Barcelona for 11 seasons have earned Valero Rivera several Spanish Liga titles, Copa del Rey and the Catalan Liga championships. After finishing his career as captain of the team, he was asked to continue as head coach for FC Barcelona.
This was the beginning of an unstoppable career as the team coach. Valero Rivera lead FC Barcelona for 21 seasons, and his team was and remains until today recognized around the world as the handball “Dream team”. Along the 21 years he coached FC Barcelona during 963 official games, earning an impressive number of 776 victories. The team won over 70 titles, including 6 European Championships (5 of them consecutive) which brought him to the very top of European handball. Never before has a handball team won 5 consecutive European Championships.
Valero Rivera was been pronounced by the EHF as the best handball club trainer of the decade (1991-2000). Since December 2008 he was in charge of the Spanish men's handball team, leading them to the 3rd place in the world championship in Sweden 2011 and to the 1st place in the World Championship in Spain 2013. After this great success he moved to Qatar beeing actually in charge of their men handball selection, bringing this team to the 2nd place in the last world handball championship 2015
