  • NOTE: A dispensation allows 2 players to be one year older in each category.
  • The Summer Cup is the perfect tournament for teams looking for a great handball experience at the end of the season.

    Lloret de Mar and Blanes will welcome handball teams coming around Europe to compete in a festive ambient, enjoying the nice environment who gives us the Costa Brava.

    Tournament info

    Programme

    Day 1

    Arrival. Short briefing of the tournament. Lunch and dinner at the hotel.

    Day 2

    Meeting with referees team and tournament organization. Opening ceremony and teams presentation. First classifying matches.

    Day 3

    Tournament as per programme. Leisure activities.

    Day 4

    Tournament as per programme. All together party.

    Day 5

    Finals in all categories. Awards presentation.

    Day 6

    Departure.

    Competition system

    There will be groups made up of four or more clubs in each category. There will play in round robin format, the first and second classifyied team of each group will go through the next round.  Each club will play a minimum of 4 matches. Teams participating in both tournaments will have a maximum of two matches per tournament per day.

    Prizes in all categories

    The four first classifed teams in each category will receive a trophy and medals. All the teams will receive a trophy as a memento of the tournament. From every final will be chosen the MVP (most valious player) of each category. There is a “fair play” cup to be given at the end of the tournament.

    Insurance

    All teams must have their players insured either through federative insurance, private insurance policies or through the social security system.

    Balls and water

    All teams taking part in the tournament will be provided with balls and water at the pavilion where the matches are played.

    Supporters

    All supporters will be provided with accommodation in the same hotel as their clubs. We can offer all relatives and friends of tournament participants the chance to enjoy an unforgettable week.
